Frequently
Asked Questions
|
|
Q:
Are the machines easy to use?
|
|
A:
Very easy. We mix your first batch and show
you how to use the machine. We leave clear
printed instructions. NO ICE NEEDED and
remember, the machine cannot be in direct sun.
|
|
Q:
How many drinks does one batch yield?
|
|
A:
It depends on the mix. One batch of
margaritas makes about 70-eight ounce drinks,
or a full 5 gallons. All other mixes are mixed
at a 5:1 ratio, or 3 gallons. The
machine will hold one whole batch. Our
experience shows that usually half or more
guests drink the frozen drinks even if you
offer a choice. We recommend one batch for
every 25 frozen beverage drinkers. Extra
margarita mix is $25.00. You only pay
for what you use. We take the unopened
bottles back.

|
Q:
How long does the first batch take to freeze?
|
|
A:
Indoors about 40 minutes, outside on warm
days, up to one hour. There is no waiting
between batches because you add to the top
reservoir when mix-low light comes on.

|
Q:
Who provides the liquor and how much will I
need?
|
|
A:
The customer provides all liquor. A
medium strength batch of margaritas calls for
2.5 of liters tequila and 1/2 liter of Triple
Sec. All other mixes
require about 2 liters of rum or tequila,
depending on the flavor. We also have
plenty of virgin drinks available for the
kids.
|
|
Q:
How far in advance should I reserve my
machine?
|
|
A:
We recommend as soon as possible; holiday
seasons and traditional party weekends like
Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day
book up fast. In the summer months, the
machines are requested at least a month in
advance. We do accept last minute
requests (because you forgot to call us!) as long as a machine is
available. If none are available, we
will try to help you get a machine through one
of our partners.
